Can you believe it? This is my 100th blog post! This tiny milestone proves to me that perseverance can accomplish any goals. I started writing this blog back in November and haven’t stopped. The drive to continue it is a daily thing for me and I cannot wait to write more content and grow. I love being able to do what I love through this blog. It’s enjoyable to write as I am sure it is to read.
I recently finished Blog, Inc. by Joy Deangdeelert Cho of Oh Joy the blog. It is a great book to read if you are starting a blog, stuck in a blogging rut or just need a little push to take your blog to the next level. It was very motivational for me to read this book because there are days when I don’t always feel confident about my writing or what direction I want to take this blog in. Joy covers the range of blogger types: the hobbyist, the career blogger and the community builder. I started this blog as a hobby, something to do outside of work that I could enjoy. I found myself wanting to build a community with each post/social activity I do as a part of my blog. Blog, Inc. really struck my creative cord and drive to continue to grow this blog to something a bit more. (How exciting does that sound? It’s exciting for me!)
My plans for this blog are pretty simple for now. Each day I am learning more about it and continuing to grow my online community. I am excited to see what the future holds for my writing and this blog. Maybe one day, I will go full-time with this. I cannot thank my followers and readers enough for their continued support and readership with this blog! It means a lot that people can read what I write, relate and hopefully laugh along the way.
Happy 100th Blog Post! Here’s to a 100+ more!
