This was my personal best year for health and fitness! I only managed to get sick once-it was food poisoning and needless to say I haven’t had pork since. I kept on top of my yoga classes each week or at least managed to stretch. Taking care of my body physically and mentally is so important to me. It’s the only body I’ve got so I might as well treat it with love and respect. Here is how I did on all of my health and fitness goals this year.
Health & Fitness Goals
Develop Home Yoga Practice- 40% Pass. At the beginning of the year I began practicing yoga at home a few days a week. I wasn’t exactly consistent. But as the year progressed and life got a little busy I stopped my at-home practice. I still manage to make it to yoga class once a week. Since we will be moving in January I may not be going to yoga classes until we get settled in. That means my yoga practice will have to be at home and on my time.
Eat Better Breakfast- 40% Pass. I suck at breakfast! For starters, I have an issue waking up with enough time to sit down and eat a decent breakfast. If I do wake up early I use the extra time to do my hair or makeup instead of make a fancy breakfast. Some mornings I woke up and just wasn’t hungry right away so I would eat something small once I got to work. But I did have a few mornings where I had cereal with soy milk.
Wash Face Daily- 80% Pass. I finally found a face wash and moisturizer that doesn’t make my face break out! Clinque makes a great face wash/moisturizer that I use almost every single day. There are some days I skip but most days I do wash my face. My skin feels much nicer and appears clearer than usual.
Gain Some Weight- 90% Pass! This feat is pretty exciting! Ever since I set this goal I’ve told myself to not fear stepping on the scale and feel discouraged. With the help of yoga increasing my muscles and eating better I did gain a little weight this year! Being petite with a lightning-fast metabolism has it’s drawbacks but it’s nice to know I can put a little meat on my bones!
