Galentine’s Day: a day for ladies to celebrate each other sans boyfriends or husbands. Typically celebrated February 13th, the day before Valentine’s Day.
I’ve always loved this idea of celebrating the ladies in my life. After all we need to support each other now more than ever! If you’re like me and plan on celebrating Galentine’s Day you probably want to get your closest gals together for a celebration. Here are 4 ways you and your gal pals can celebrate Galentine’s Day:
Galentine’s Day Brunch
This one is an obvious choice! Who doesn’t love brunch? Gather your gals and go to your favorite brunch spot. Not feeling like getting out? Host a brunch at your home. Complete with mini quiches, lots of bacon and champagne. Don’t forget the waffles! Bonus points if you have a mimosa bar!
Attend a Wine & Paint Class
There is nothing quite like getting toasted and painting a masterpiece with your best friends! These Wine & Painting classes are everywhere and usually you can find a Groupon for them. (Hello, deals!) Sign up for a painting your whole clan will love!
Have a “Treat Yo Self” Day
Manicures! Treat Yo Self! Champagne! Treat Yo Self! Fine Leather Goods! TREAT YO SELF!!! In true Parks & Rec fashion, have a “Treat Yo Self” day with your besties. Go out for mani/pedis, get your hair done then treat yourself to a little shopping. Then bond over a nice lunch celebrating your best girlfriends and don’t forget to snap a few Insta-worthy photos together!
Take a Fitness Class Together
What better way to get in shape then with your best friends? Grab the girls and schedule a fitness class. Yoga, pilates, spin or Barre…there are so many group fitness classes to choose from. Why not celebrate each other while treating your body to an awesome workout.
There are so many ways to celebrate Galentine’s day! As for me, I’ll be attending a Chocolate & Champagne event for SC Cares. They are an animal rescue and education sanctuary in Georgetown which is just south of Myrtle Beach. I love being able to get involved in my community.
