Happy 4th of July! Nothing is more patriotic than grilling burgers, beer in hand and fireworks in the distance. Judd loves to grill and when we got our current place, he purchased a propane grill. It’s fairly small in size but portable which was important to us for tailgating purposes. Judd loves making hamburgers on the grill but not the frozen ones! We make our own patties with flavoring which are perfect for these 4th of July sliders. Instead of potato chips as a side I made my mom famous Broccoli Slaw.
4th of July Sliders
1 lb. Ground Beef
1/3 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
1 Cup Breadcrumbs
Caramelized Onion-my personal favorite
Lettuce & Tomato
Combine ground beef with egg, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs and mix. Form small patties with your hands and place on a plate. Heat up grill and place patties on monitoring them as they good. Top with Lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado or whatever your heart desires!
Mom’s Broccoli Slaw
1 Package Oriental Ramen Noodles, crushed
2 Tbs. Melted Butter
1/2 Cup Oil
1/3 Cup Rice Wine Vinegar
1/4 Cup Sugar
1 1.5 Tbs. Soy Sauce
1 Packet Oriental Sauce Mix from Ramen
4-6 Scallions Chopped
2 Bags Broccoli Slaw
Melt butter and coat crushed Ramen noodles, place on a baking sheet and toast for 10-12 minutes. For dressing, combine Oriental ramen packet, oil, rice wine vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. Cool in fridge until ready to serve on salad. For Salad, combine broccoli slaw, scallions and crushed noodle mixture. Drizzle dressing on top and enjoy!
