Happy Friday Friends! Hard to believe that August is almost over. I am really looking forward to September though. There are lots of exciting things planned in September! I see cooler weather, football and pumpkin spice everything on the horizon. Keeping in the tradition of all final Friday’s of the month, today I am sharing 5 things I loved in August.
Monday’s Solar Eclipse
Despite being under cloud coverage I was still able to enjoy the solar eclipse on Monday via The Weather Channel’s live stream. What an incredible event to witness. I was a little bummed we had cloud coverage here but it was neat seeing everyone’s photos from across the country. It’s crazy to think of something like an eclipse united us for just one day.
Last month I took a yoga class where our teacher had us play around with headstands. I threw my irrational fear out the window and attempted successfully for the first time. It wasn’t perfect but it happened. Now I can’t stop doing headstands! If I am having an off day I will go home and stretch a little then pop into headstand for a bit.
I’ve jumped on the kombucha train but nothing won me over quite like Organic Master Brew’s Lavender flavor. It’s by far my favorite flavor and doesn’t taste funny one bit. Plus kombucha has incredible health benefits.
One of my yoga teachers said this at the end of class one night. It stuck with me. I just love it!
Tina Fey & a Sheet Cake
Listen, I’m not one to get political but if you didn’t see Tina Fey on Weekend Update last week watch it below…now! I have never laughed so hard then watching Tina Fey take her frustrations out on an innocent sheet cake. At one point she even dunks a grilled cheese into the cake and eats it. It’s TV at it’s finest!
August has been an all around awesome month. Upwards and onwards to September…a month of some big changes not including the seasons!
