Happy February! It’s a new month and the perfect time for a change. Each month I sit down and determine what the following month’s feature will be. I post at least once a week per the theme topic and try to come up with different ones each month. Over the last few weeks, I have felt a bit of a discontent with things. I find myself staring at my site puzzled as to why I don’t feel happy with it. At the beginning of this year I pledged my goals which included blogging goals. It’s time to set those goals in motion!
I started this blog shortly after getting married as a way to write more. It was my way of keeping myself writing and creating. I love writing…always have and I always will. I thrive on creating content for you all to read as well as interacting with comments and readers alike. I’ve been keeping up with this blog for the last year and a few months but now I find myself at a crossroad.
I feel like it’s time for a blog make over. I’ve been running on WordPress.com for awhile now and I feel like it’s time to stretch my legs. When something becomes easy, it’s time for a challenge and I feel like that time is now for Some Shananagins. I’ve been playing around with some branding ideas that will revive this blog to something greater. So what’s stopping me?
I am scared. Aren’t we all in this blogging community? Scared that I will invest too much. Scared that I don’t know what I am getting myself into. Scared that the changes won’t be receptive to a community I love. Consider this my blogging plea for help and advice!
Blogging friends, readers or anyone willing to help: what’s your best advice to someone who is craving change? What advice would you give to help motivate me and this decision into the works? Any inspirational stories or personal experience with a blog make over? Please feel free to share! I can use all the help I can get!
Over the next few weeks I will be working on making Some Shananagins a better blog. That means a design make over and some new features that will spruce up my small piece of the web! I will still be posting weekly but not as much as usual. (Once a week at the least…I could never go too long without a post!) Thank you all for your support and readership! Big things to come!
