One of my favorite parts of the fall season besides the changing weather is decorating the house. For the past 4 years we have lived in small apartments with not much room to decorate. This year is different. Since its our first year in a home I was excited to start decorating! This past weekend Judd’s grandmother surprised us by giving us some of her fall decorations for us to use for our home. She has always been someone I admire in terms of home decor and crafty-ness. Her home at Christmas is like a holiday store! Decorations everywhere! I was excited to start gracing our home with reminders of the fall season.
Our living room is open to the dining space and kitchen. For this room I decided to do the most decorating since it’s such a big area to fill! I placed these silver pumpkins around one of the artificial succulents from my dining room table. I just love our homemade coffee table that Judd made us that I found it had to be included in the fall decorations.
For the bar area I decided to put up my new fall print from my dear friend, Angela at Paper Love Song on Etsy. You can find the print here. I placed these festive ceramic pumpkins around the print. I just love the warm color tones of fall decorations.
The festive flowers add a nice to touch to our dining room table alongside two of my artificial succulents. I have some left over flowers and leaves which I plan to play around with and make a door wreath for our front door. I love that people in our neighborhood have wreaths on their doors per the season so I thought I would join them! I will share that DIY on the blog in a week or so!
