This year is coming to a close which leads me to following up on my blogging goals for this year and how I did on them. I feel like I made a lot of progress with my blogging as well as staying true to my goals for the year. There were weeks where I may have only posted twice or not networked much but most of the time I kept to my goals. Check out how I did below:
2015 Blog Goals:
- Monthly Features: Achieved. Each month I designated a theme/feature/topic to write about each week for a month. I recapped this year’s monthly feature topics here.
- Average of 3-4 posts per week: achieved. At times it seemed like a feat to try to reach my 3-4 post a week goal but when I started using an editorial calendar each month it was a piece of cake! I did manage to post daily for two months out of the year for the following monthly challenges: 31 Day Blogging Challenge & July’s Yoga Challenge.
- Work on Branding (site design, logo creation and blog theme.): This is still a work in progress. I have developed a site logo that I am happy with but need to work on site design and blog theme. One of my goals for this coming year is to get a new blog design and keep the same design themes throughout each post.
- Networking with other bloggers in community: Achieved yet always in progress. In 2015 I made myself network more with other bloggers through the help of Facebook groups. A few of my favorites: The Blog Loft, Blogging Boost and DYOB: Blog Beautiful. Each group hosts a thread one day during the week were you can share your most recent blog posts for others to see. It also helped me discover other bloggers and reach out to them through the group. I love networking as a blogger and I find that 2016 is going to be a lot more of getting myself out there!
Did you achieve your blogging goals this year?
What are my blogging goals for 2016? Stay tuned for that post in the next few weeks!
