We’ve been living in South Carolina for a little over a month now. It’s taken a bit to unpack boxes and decorate our new digs but I can finally share our space with you guys! I’m going to take these posts one by one since certain rooms aren’t there yet. (Cough, cough our guest room!)
We only had about a month to find a place from the time Judd got his job offer. As much as we wanted a house, we decided it would be easier to get an apartment and save on our rent. Plus being new to the area it was much smarter to rent for about a year and see what we like and don’t like before buying. We ended up getting a killer deal on a place!
Here’s a little tour of our dining and living room space in our new Carolina Digs.
I just love our dining room! the table was a first big furniture purchase for us. Our wedding canvas to the left is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding day. It was somewhat candid and so unique I couldn’t help but get it printed. The poster to the right is our Epcot Flower & Garden poster from last year’s festival. It’s a sweet little reminder of home.
This cute little teapot flower vase was from a wedding I was in. I love to fill it with real flower.
Our living room has always been my favorite places. It’s a space that we spend the most time in, hanging out with our pup and watching our favorite movies. For decorations, we have some special pieces on the walls. The photo above our couch is from a Rush concert we went to in Orlando in 2013. If you look on the left side of the frame you can see my arm, Judd and my mom and dad. Still one of my favorite photo pieces!
The top frame is a picture of my parents, Judd and I from the 2013 before the Rush concert. Our concert tickets are below it. The album underneath is signed by the band. Judd sent it off a week before our concert to the venue in hopes that the band would sign and send it back. It was a sweet surprise when we got it back in the mail a few weeks later signed!
Gus has run of the couch! Ever since we brought him home, he claimed the couch as his favorite place to nap. Ignore his mean mug his nickname is Grumpy Gus! Here is Grumpy with his favorite pillow.
Here is Gus’ corner of the living room. The Boston Terrier print was a gift from my brother. Gus is slowly being phased out of his crate.
