So you’re going to plan a wedding. Yes, it seems like a lot but you can plan an epic celebration with the help of a few planning essentials! I did pretty much everything on my own with a little help from my supportive fiancé at the time. Here are a few things I needed to help keep my plans on track:
1. Wedding Binder-I kept all the details of our “big day” in this wedding binder. From the guest list to the vendor contract’s, my binder helped keep everything organized and on track for our wedding.
2. Yearly Agenda-Because I was doing all of the planning myself, I needed a way to keep track of meetings with vendors and deadlines for when final payments were due. My Lily agenda was perfect at keeping me prepared.
3.Address Book-You will be sending lots of save the dates, thank you cards and wedding invitations in the mail to your guests. Instead of having to ask every time you need an address, compile them all into an address book to reference. I know we are in a digital age and they offer ways to do that on most computers. (My Mac houses my address book.)
4. Endless Supply of Thank You Cards-You will write so many thank you cards during and after the wedding. (Think shower, bachelorette and wedding.) Always be prepared to write one out if needed!
5. Wedding/Bridal Magazines-I was not a typical bride but I still referenced The Knot Florida when I started planning my wedding. I would tear out color schemes I liked, flower ideas and dress options just to get the ball rolling on inspiration.
Brides, don’t stress over the small things while planning. Try and enjoy yourselves!
