My apologies as I am a day behind on the this. There really is no excuse but I did go to yoga class last night and my teacher really pushed us which is good during class yet not so good after. I was sore and tired after class last night so the yoga pose did NOT happen! I made up for that today.
Yesterday’s pose was Hero. This is a new pose for me so my attempt isn’t perfect. Yoga isn’t about perfection. It’s about the movement from one pose to another, breathing through each pose and relaxing the mind. I feel pretty good about my attempt though! This is one pose I will have to play around with.
Today’s pose is the wide-legged forward fold. I really like this pose as it is similar to a stretch I would do when I was still dancing. Start off by standing in a five-pointed star stance with your arms out wide. Keep your arms strong and stand up as tall as you can. Place your hands on your hips and slowly hinge down towards the ground. Place your hands on your mat and stretch gently. Walk your hands through slowly for an intense leg stretch.
