Happy Monday, Yogis and Readers! I am doing one of my favorite yoga poses today. This is tree pose. It’s a great way to get grounded and focused. Start by stranding with your feet together. Pick a side to start with and slowly lift your foot onto your ankle, calf or thigh. Make sure your leg is turned out and your hips stay down. Bring your hand at heart center and find a focal point to focus on to hold this position.
When you feel balanced enough, lift your arms up or your branches. Feel free to wave them gently as if a light breeze is sweeping the leaves of your tree. I really enjoy this pose. It’s perfect to get focused and balanced. We all need a little balance!
