The final pose in the Warrior series…Warrior III Pose. It’s a bit of an advanced pose and I am still working on this. You can start in many different ways to get into Warrior III pose. The first time I tried this pose out was from Tree pose. I started with simple balancing then moved my leg up by bending my knee. Then I slowly shifted my upper body forward while simultaneously kicking my leg back behind me.
The trick to this pose is to keep your hips square to the floor and down. If putting your arms out in front of you is a challenge place them in a “T” to your sides. If that isn’t an option simply place your hands on the ground or on a block until you get the strength to take this pose further.
This pose is a great test of strength and balance. While I am still trying this pose out I always remind myself to breath and focus on the simple act of balancing. Not all poses come easy and this one is a challenge for me but a welcomed one at that!
