TGIF! Today’s is another one of my favorites. The lotus pose is pretty easy for me thanks to years of stretching and dance. Start in a nice comfortable seated position. Place one foot on top of the opposite leg. If that feels comfortable do the same to the other foot. If that feels uncomfortable just try one foot at a time. You can always work up to this position but don’t force it!
I love to sit in Lotus, close my eyes and try to meditate. It helps me clear my thoughts and ease into a relaxed state. This is a great pose if you feel stressed out or need to clear your mind. I occasionally do this pose before bed to help quiet my mind and prepare my body for rest.
