Today’s pose is seated twist. This is a great twist pose that can be beneficial for your back. Start in staff pose and bend one leg over the other. With the opposite arm hug that leg in. Take the opposite arm out in front of you and move it behind you but don’t place it on the ground yet. Take a deep breath in and sit up straight. On the exhale place your hand on the ground and look back towards it. Keep your sits bones on the ground and your back straight.
When you feel comfortable, bend the bottom leg in. And if you are really feeling brave pick up your bottom leg with the hand that is hugging your leg in. Straighten up tall and release your bottom hand from the ground straight out to the side.
