It’s the end of summer, or at least I am calling it the official end of summer and I am following up on my goals. In June I set a bunch of things I wanted to do before the end of the summer. Well, I did pretty good. I didn’t get around to all of them but like any good blogger, I want to be honest about it! Here’s a follow-up on my goals for this summer which includes things I didn’t get around to:
Attend High Tea at The Grand Floridian. It was my second time having tea at The Garden View Lounge for afternoon High Tea. I took my mom and grandmother as sort of late mother’s day present. You can read about our tea here.
Watch my brother perform in “Jungle Book Alive” show at Animal Kingdom. I love getting the chance to watch my brother perform at Disney. This time was no different. We spent the weekend down in Orlando to park hop and meet up with my parents and watch the newest night show at Animal Kingdom. You can read about our trip here.
Enjoy a refreshing Dole Whip Float at Magic Kingdom. Who doesn’t love an ice-cold, refreshing Dole Whip float?! Funny story about this…I ordered the ice cream on accident and the guy handed us a float so we went with it and left the booth. Oooppsss!
Take the new Tacoma on a road trip, GoPro the journey!! Judd was so excited to get his Tacoma that he couldn’t wait to take it on a road trip. One of the cool features in his Tacoma is the GoPro mount on the inside of the windshield. I set up our GoPro for our trip to Disney for the weekend and created a time-lapse of our journey to the Epcot parking lot. Funny thing was our GoPro died the minute we pulled into the parking lot. Talk about timing!!!
Photograph more things for the blog. View and read up on the following: Cocoa Village and Saint Augustine. My goal for the rest of this year moving forward is to keep writing and photographing for posts. It’s about time I started incorporating the two things I love.
Try more unique recipes. This has been the summer of new recipes! Judd has enjoyed this particular goal the most as he loves good food. I really enjoyed experimenting with new recipes. My next goal is to branch out of pasta-which I am addicted to-and make more meat-based meals like chicken and fish.
Update work wardrobe. I bought a few new shirts and these super comfortable jeans that I am hooked to. I am slowly trying to update my wardrobe to that of a working adult and not a college student!
Things I did NOT do on my list of goals…Well, it wouldn’t be an honest post without admitting that I didn’t accomplish everything I set forth to do in June. It was a busy summer and eventful summer. Even though I didn’t achieve these things in my time frame, I still want to do them!
Go to a bluegrass show
Go kayaking at least once
Take a day trip to Amelia Island
Successfully do a yoga handstand…with the assistance of a wall!
Print wedding photo album
Fill picture frame with photos of friends and family for upstairs wall.
Journal every day if possible
Take a cooking class
