It’s the end of another amazing year! 2014 was filled with many new memories and a few milestones I’ll remember for a lifetime. I’m sad to see this year end so quickly but I’m ready to see what 2015 brings. Here are a few highlights:
Some Shananagins blog launched!
I decided to dedicate myself to a weekly blog about my life and the fun things that happen in it. It’s hard work but I love every minute of planning, writing and designing for this blog. I am really looking forward to expanding upon this blog in 2015 and branding myself and my work.
Mother/Daughter Roadtrip to Charleston, SC
My mom and I had never gone on a roadtrip together before and this was a special weekend as it was also Mother’s Day. We drove up to Charleston, SC on a Friday morning and enjoyed a weekend filled with shopping, exploring and eating our way through the Lowcountry. We even got to watch my maid of honor and lifelong best friend graduate with her Master’s degree from The Citadel.
Judd and I got married!
It was by far the busiest but greatest day of our lives! I don’t think I will ever forget every moment that happened that day. We were able to share our milestone with our family and closest friends. It was perfect! Married life has been great but not much has changed since before we got married besides my last name! I’m beyond excited to see where our lives take us and how we grow within our marriage. You can read about our big day here.
We honeymoon-ed in Hilton Head Island, SC.
If you can’t tell, I love South Carolina! Judd and I drove up the day after our wedding to honeymoon in Hilton Head Island, SC. We stayed at the Disney resort on the island which offered so many things for guests to enjoy. We rode bikes to the beaches and the Disney Beach House, we went on a kayak tour of the waters surrounding the island and even saw dolphins tailing their food. We ate at great restaurants which you can read about here.
We got our first dog, Gus.
Even thought it was before we got married, Gus has been such a blessing to us! He just met his 6 month mark and he is growing bigger each and every day. We love being dog owners! He keeps us on our toes but always keeps us happy! You can read about how we got Gus here.
2014 was an amazing year! I am so thankful for every moment and every memory made this year. 2015 holds a lot of new memories, experience and even a first wedding anniversary. Happy New Year!
