The great Smokey Mountains are calling my name! My suitcase is ready to be filled with all the essentials for our Fall 2016 trip to Knoxville, TN. We’ve been anxiously awaiting this trip for a while now and I can’t believe it’s finally here! The dreaded part of every vacation is packing. There’s never a fun way to approach it but put on some music, glance at the weather conditions and hope you packing everything you need! Without further procrastination, here’s what I am packing for our trip to Tennessee:
Flannels-Nothing says fall more than a flannel shirt! I love pairing flannels with black leggings or jeans. I got these flannel shirts from Target which had them on sale.
Sweaters-My frame does not do well in cold temperatures so sweaters are essential! I have a few thick sweaters and a few light sweaters in case the weather changes quickly.
Jeans & Leggings-Since the weather is expected to be cool/cold, I am only packing my jeans and leggings. I can mix and match them with my sweaters and flannels perfectly. I have a few great pairs of jeggings from Macy’s by Celebrity Pink. They fit my body well and keep me fairly warm.
Boots on boots on boots-There is nothing worse than cold feet…literally! That’s why each time I take a trip north I arm my feet with my favorite boots. I plan on bringing a tall brown pair, black pair and my new combat boots.
Outerwear-The temperatures in Knoxville are going to be a bit chilly for my liking when we are there so I am packing up a few coats. I’ve got a black pea coat, a grey one and my black leather jacket. I also plan on bringing my fleece Columbia jacket for game day.
A cross-body bag-I’ve had my favorite Kate Spade cross-body bag since our honeymoon. It’s perfect for travel but it doesn’t hold too much. It will work for gallivanting around town.
Wristlet- I picked up a new small wristlet that is perfect for game day. It can hold my license, cash and phone…pretty much all I will need for the game!
Gloves-because I am ALWAYS cold and if the weather is going to be chilly, it’s better to be prepared then be freezing.
Scarves-see above about being cold! I even have an orange and white scarf perfect for the football game!
Camera-I plan on taking my 50D to capture moments from our trip. One of the things I always do when Judd and I vacation is get photos of everything! From the food to the hotel, I capture it all. My hopes are to one day show our future kids where we ventured and what we saw.
Journal-Not that I will have much time to journal but it’s nice to have on hand in case I want to jot anything down about our trip. This is also good for keeping notes on each of the places we each which I plan to blog about.
