I have always wanted to go to Epcot’s Food and Wine festival. My parents go every year! So when we bought annual passes to the Disney theme parks, we vowed to get to Food and Wine festival this year. Last weekend we spontaneously headed to Epcot after gallivanting around Magic Kingdom all day. Food and Wine Festival is basically an adults paradise of great food and delicious alcoholic beverages! We picked up a Food and Wine Festival passport to fill out at each country. It was also our guide to the different foods and drinks in each country.
We started at Patagonia with Beef Empanadas. It was the best Beef Empanadas I’ve ever had! It was warm and delicious with the perfect amount of flavor. We each shared them but I wish we would’ve bought more!
Hawaii was next on our tour. Offering Pulled Pork Sliders with Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayo and Maui Splash Sweet Pineapple Wine, Hawaii was a hit on my list! I’ve actually had the wine once before after my parents came back from their Hawaiian vacation. My dad loved the wine so much he order a case of it! The pulled pork was tender and delicious with just enough spice. I loved the pineapple chutney paired with the spicy mayo to create the perfect sweet and spicy combo.
We made our way to Canada which offered Cheddar Cheese soup and Chicken Sausage with Creamy Polenta. I had to pass on the soup but Judd said it was delicious! My dad opted for the Chicken Sausage with Creamy Polenta and he was a huge fan!
Our next stop was France. My mom was so excited to go to this booth as the offered a Vanilla & Chocolate Creme Brûlée. It was decadent! Judd and I split a cup of it “Lady & The Tramp” style!
We stopped at Japan so I could get some Tempura Shrip Sushi Roll and my dad could try the Pineapple Fuzed Sake. I love sushi and figured Disney’s version of my go-to sushi roll would be perfection. Sure enough it was! Plus they gave me a lot of rolls so I was able to share with my mom. Judd and my dad really liked the Pineapple Fuzed Sake.
Judd had to stop at the Italian booth to grab a Chocolate Covered Cannoli. The cream inside was so sweet. It had to be the best cannoli I have ever had! (Publix Cannolis are pretty delicious but didn’t stand a chance with Disney’s version!)
Our next stop was Poland which had a Sauerkraut Pierogi with Pork Goulash that I was dying to try. It was so good! A little spicy but exploding with flavors. This dish was one of my favorites from Food and Wine!
We headed to China next for Chicken Pot Stickers and a Bubbly Jasmine Tea. The Chicken Pot Stickers were warm and delicious. The tea was delicious and probably my favorite beverage at Food and Wine. (Plus it was non alcoholic!)
The last stop on our Food and Wine tour was Australia so my dad could try the Coopers Brewery Extra Strong Vintage Ale-a beer he had years ago. He lived in Australia when he was a kid so I took an obligatory photo of him next to the sign!
Epcot Food & Wine Festival was a great experience especially for a first-timer like me! We purchased a card that we loaded with money to use while stopping at each booth. It made our food and beverage purchase much easier rather than digging through our wallets for cards and cash! I recommend grabbing a passport book if you go but you can preview the 2015 menu here. We got to Epcot around 5pm on a Sunday and it was busy but not crowded. Central Florida tends to get very hot so plan to go early or later in the day to avoid the extreme heat. We lucked out and had beautiful temperatures for our visit. I cannot wait to go back and experience Food & Wine Festival for years to come!
