The past few weeks have been very busy but all in good company! On Thursday, Judd, Gus and I drove down to Central Florida to visit his family. I love going to see them because we always seem to have great conversation and a good time. This time as no exception! We headed across the street from my mother-in-law to go to the beach on Friday bright and early.
We headed out to lunch after the beach to one of our favorite hometown Irish Pubs, Meg O’Malley’s. After stuffing our faces with Fish and Chips, Shepherd’s Pie and bread pudding we were full. (Fat and happy!) Our server’s name also happened to be Shannon which I loved! My name is so Irish!
That evening, we want to the Crown Plaza for drinks on the deck which looks out over the Atlantic Ocean. We enjoyed some beers and live music while people watching-a favorite hobby of mine! The weather was cloudy but the rain held up enough for us to enjoy a nice ocean breeze.
Saturday was the 4th of July but since we spent the day before running around and laying in the sun, we were all pretty beat! We decided to take Gus to his Judd’s grandma so we could spend some time with her. I always love going over to Grandma Marie’s house! She has family pictures in her living room and a few years ago she put a picture of Judd and I up there. I guess she always knew we would get married! Grandma Marie also has a Grandfather clock that Judd’s great-grandfather built from a kit. My grandmother also has a Grandfather clock in her home and I always loved when it went off every hour.
We went out to eat and came back to relax and talk about everything. Gus fell asleep in my lap-a sure sign that the weekend was kicking his little Boston butt! We headed out shortly after so we could make it home before the storms came and ruined our drive. We made it home in time to grab some hot dogs and relax on the couch. Gus is-of course-asleep!
Before I forget…I also braved up and took a ride on my father-in-law’s new Harley which was pretty fun. I am not a huge fan of motorcycles but his is pretty nice! Next time we visit I am going to photograph it!
What did you do for the 4th of July?
