Every writer needs a place they can brainstorm ideas in. A space all their own with no distractions. I am excited to announce that my home “blogging loft” is finally finished and I cannot wait to share the pictures with you! I wanted a space in my own home that I could dedicate to my blogging and brainstorming content ideas. There is a loft area in our new place that is big enough for a desk and a bookshelf with some room to spare for my yoga mat. I decided to make this room my “Blogging Loft/Yoga Room.”
The Gallery Wall
I love the gallery wall idea for living rooms but found it fitting for my blogging loft. The print is from a dear friend of my, Angela with Paper Love Song. I love the statement ‘Hello, Gorgeous’ since it always makes me feel beautiful when I see it in front of me! The clothes pin frame is from our wedding. Sadly the mini clothespins that originally came with it fell off or broke off during the move. I decided to replace it with regular sized clothespins and pictures of my family. I love surrounding myself with pictures of family and friends. It helps me reflect on the amazing people in my life and how they inspire me. The mini chalkboard sign was something I decided to hang up randomly one day. It reads “Blogging Loft” appropriately. My old pointe shoes also hang on the wall by my desk as a constant reminder of a passion I once loved.
My Desk & Chair
The desk is a simple design from IKEA that I bought in college. I wanted a fun chair that was both cute and comfortable. I came across this patterned chair at Ross one day and thought it was perfect! I try to keep my desk area as clean as possible. I am someone who cannot function if my desk is a chaotic mess!
The Bookshelf & Wall of Fame
I am very proud of my education and the very expensive piece of framed paper that states I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. What better way to be proud then to show it off in my office. Judd and I both graduated from the University of North Florida on the same day with two different degrees. In between our diplomas is a picture frame filled with graduation pictures we took. They are some of my favorite pictures of us besides our wedding photos. We have a lot of books between the two of us so I picked up this bookshelf from Target. The bookshelf’s contents: Our high school yearbooks, Judd’s many heavy nutrition books from college, a couple of blog books/Photoshop manuals, my random high school diploma and a few nik-naks.
Yoga Portion of Loft
I wanted to incorporate my other passion within my loft area: yoga. Right now I only have one mat for my practice and it has seen better days! I love the window in this part of the room and I plan on opening it to let the fresh air come in once the weather gets nicer!
