Happiest of Mondays to you guys! Sharing another edition of our home tour with you guys. You’ve seen the before and after of this living room but you have YET to see it decorated. Luckily today I am going to share that with you all. As with most of the house the living room is still a work in progress. We are missing a rug and a coffee table but those items will come soon.
First of all I just love how open this space is now that we painted it a lighter color. I fall more in love with the color every single day. We used Behr’s White Metal in eggshell. As days go on living in the house, I just adore this color more and more. I love it so much I even decided to paint our entry way the same color!
This room was a fun one to decorate. A piece of advice I got from Joanna Gaines was your home should reflect you. Judd and I are both pretty unique people with heavy admiration towards music. Instead of trying to make the “Perfect Pinterest Home” I kept our passions and personalities in mind when I decorated this living room.
Our first order of decorating business was to get some shelving for our vinyls. We have an extensive collection that I wanted to show off in our new living room. I found these Floating Picture Frame Displays by Wallniture on Amazon. I bought 2 of them to start but I really want more! I’d love to fill this wall with vinyls.
The accent table is from World Market. We wanted something unique to put our record player on that also had storage for our vinyls. This piece was a pain in the butt to build so we will probably never buy any more furniture from there again! But the table works perfectly for our record player!
This picture you’ve seen before. A concert photo from our first Rush show together the day after getting engaged. I love this picture because you can see the Orlando Magic logo on the ceiling and Judd to the far left of the picture. We have always had this photo over the couch and decided to keep it the same here.
I hung our wedding photo on the wall with the windows. Still not sure how I feel about its placement there. We will probably end up moving it down the road! We have a curtain rod but still no curtains. I am thinking of sticking to white shear curtains for this room to keep the available light flowing into the room.
This has to be my favorite corner of the living room! I love to drop the needle on one of my favorite vinyls and relax…with my pup and Judd. (Judd is behind the camera on the picture below!)
