Happy Sunday, y’all! After a week hiatus from the blog, I am back on the grind. Last weekend my mom and grandmother came up to visit us and we spent all weekend gallivanting around town. They had a blast and so did we! I miss my family every day but am so happy we made the big move.
Today I am linking up with the lovely bloggers of The Blogger Tribe. We get together each week and share what we’ve bene up to. Here’s what I’ve been up to lately.
Fangirling…out over a band I have loved since college, Minus The Bear. They just released their first album in 5 years and I’ve been listening to it since Friday! I’ve seen them a few times live and they are pretty good. I’m bummed they won’t be playing any shows close to Myrtle Beach. The closest show is in Charlotte on a work night.
Building…more time dedicated to writing freely. Last Monday night I decided to spend about an hour and a half just writing whatever I felt. When my grandmother visited she told me I should start writing things down. Memories, funny stories and anything I wanted to read down the road. (Or pass along to future kids.) So Monday night, I pulled open my Macbook and starting writing about my dancing days. I ended up writing about 2,000 words!
Winning…at spiralizing veggies lately! In my quest to eat more of them I’ve been making use of the coolest kitchen gadget since the Kitchenaid. This week I’ll be sharing a review of a recipe with spiralized sweet potatoes. Yum!
Organizing…our vinyl collection. Over the last 9 years, I’ve been collecting vinyls. It all started with a trip to a record store where I went to college. I found a pristine copy of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon remaster. When I met Judd, he shared my love of music and vinyls. We started building our collection with all of our favorite artists. Yesterday I picked up this gem below:
Being…homesick lately. This past week at work was a little hectic. It’s probably the first time I’ve felt really homesick since we moved. Nothing I can’t handle though! This week I’ll be sharing a post about how I cure my homesick blues.
This week on the blog…
- I get cozy on a park bench with a good book and Bernard Baruch at Brookgreen Gardens
- Cures for Homesickness
- Another spiralized dinner: sweet Potatoe Enchilada Skillet Recipe Review
