Happy Friday! This month flew by so quickly but so is this year! I still cannot believe tomorrow is July. This month has been a pretty low-key one. We have been gearing up to start house hunting so that has taken up a lot of time. For this week’s Friday Five I am sharing 5 things I am loving in June.
Earlier this month I ordered my first Stitch Fix box. My mom recommended I try it since it’s impossible to find clothes that fit me most times. I struggle with styling myself so I figure Stitch Fix is a great way to get some help with that. If you are interested in trying Stitch Fix here is my referral link.
I also got my first mala necklace from Mala Prayer. I have been searching for the perfect (and affordable) mala for the last few months. When I came across Mala Prayer’s site, I saw this gorgeous Rhodonite, lava stone and Malaysian Jade Mala. The color caught my eyes first but upon further research I knew this was the Mala for me. Here is Mala Prayer’s Website.
I’ve been in a big podcast mood lately! I have about 5 of them that I enjoy but I am really loving From The Heart: Conversations with Yoga Girl. Rachel Brathen is known as Yoga Girl on Instagram and she just started this podcast in March. She shares personal stories, yoga tips and encouragement. Her podcast has inspired me to take a look at my yoga practice and re-evaluate why I step on the mat each time. You can listen to Rachel’s podcast here.
I usually watch a few different things at once! I’m a Netflix Junkie. At the beginning of this month I started the 3rd season of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Written and produced by Tina Fey, this show is similar to the humor of 30 Rock. It’s packed full of pop culture references and political satire. This season is probably the funniest so far! I highly recommend it!
I am also finishing up The Great British Baking Show. Suggested by my brother, this show has become an absolute favorite in my house! Judd and I are pretty much hooked. I’m normally not into competition shows involving food but this one is so much better than most the stuff on Food Network. It’s got quirky hosts, strict judges and accents galore! Plus you learn a little about baking basics while you watch. Warning: you WILL get hungry watching it!
I just finished reading Magnolia Story by Chip & Joanna Gaines. It was a quick and easy read! I really enjoyed hearing their story to fame. You can read my book review of that here.
