Well, this month flew by! I guess I can blame it on getting sick earlier this month and being really out of it for about a week and a half. It kicked my butt. I didn’t do that awesome on these goals and that’s okay. I’m a constant work in progress and so are my goals! Here’s how I did.
Check credit scores. Pass via Credit Karma. It’s not super legit but it’s pretty close!
Narrow down home buying budget and determine what we can afford. Sort of pass. We have an idea of what we want to spend based on our potential down payment and what we want to spend each month.
Find areas where we want to look for a home. Pass. We’ve narrowed down a few areas we like which are close to work and in good neighborhoods.
Start ramping up savings for down payment on house. Pass.
Limit eating out to once a week. 50% pass. I strive to only eat lunch out once a week but if I go twice I try to keep it all under $20. It’s hard when there’s nothing at home to eat or you just feel like Chik-fil-A!
Clean out dresser and donate unwanted items. Fail. Judd did his part and sort of cleaned out his sock drawer. But I have not. Whoops! We really need to get a larger dresser. We’ve been sharing one for the last 5 years!
Do a quick 10-15 minute yoga practice every morning when I wake up. Fail. To be fair, I got really sick at the beginning of this month and was out of yoga for about a week. I just started going back to class now that I can breathe through my nose!
Continue working on handstand. Sort of pass. I started at the beginning of the month really strong but with the head cold I stopped.
Make homemade potato gnocchi. Pass! It wasn’t pretty but I did it. You can read about that experience here. I plan to perfect this as time goes on and experiment a little with sweet potatoes.
Eat less meat but more veggies. Pass. In fact just last night I made my own pot pie packed full of veggies.
Next month I won’t be setting any month goals. I’ll be following up weekly on my goals for this year overall. Stay tuned!
How did you do on your goals this month?
