Why hello again! You may be wondering where the heck I’ve been lately. This month has been a little cray cray with house hunting consuming most of our time. But we took a much-needed break last weekend to host my parents for a few days.
My mom has been here before but it was my dad’s first trip to Myrtle Beach. We couldn’t wait to show him around! It also gave us a chance to play tourists for a few days which is something I try to steer clear of but I have to admit it was a blast!
We stopped by Ron Jons in North Myrtle Beach.
My dad wanted to check out the local Ron Jons Surf Shop here since we have one back home. Of course the sign outside was beckoning that we take cliché tourist pictures.
Super excited! It’s the little things in life!
Our handsome fellas!
We conquered the USS North Carolina in killer heat!
Judd and I went to visit the museum ship back in February and determined then that we had to take my dad when he came to visit. We headed up to Wilmington, NC for the day. We started the day off by visiting the ship. It was so hot that day! My dad had a field day taking all sorts of awesome pictures.
I mean…how friggin cool is this shot?! My dad’s incredibly talented.
But he’s also there to capture our most embarrassing moments…when you decide to reenact a scene from a 90s classic.
And also capture our gorgeous side! I mean how gorgeous is my mom?!
I had to include the guys in at least one photo!
We went full-out being tourists!
On the final full day of my parent’s visit we decided to hit up Broadway at The Beach. It’s a little outdoor shopping/dining/attraction area just a few blocks away from the Atlantic Ocean. It’s the best place to go if you like doing touristy things. We went a little crazy…
No alcohol was involved in the posing of this picture…true story.
When you forget your sunglasses and the wind carries your hair into your eyes/mouth/etc. So graceful!
We even soaked up a little sun.
Even our pasty white selves got a little tan!
My adorable parents. Seriously…I aspire to have a love like theirs!
Poolside super model…just kidding!
We had an amazing weekend having my parents in town. It was fun playing tourist for the weekend and showing my parents our new home state. I’ll be posting more about their visit over the next few days. Stay tuned!
