Digging…The Great British Bake Off on Netflix courtesy of my brother’s recommendation. It’s addicting! For starters, the accents are adorable. The baked goods look amazing. And to top it all off there is a 17-year-old girl who is schooling her older competitor’s! It’s worth the watching!
Aiding…myself this weekend with rest. Last week I felt very fatigued. Instead of jamming our weekend full of activities, we kept it low-key. Today I feel well-rested and relaxed!
Experimenting…with a tomato sauce recipe today. I use Lo Bosworth’s recipe but I am going to try to add my own flair to it. I will give you a hint on what I am adding…it has a slight liquiruce taste! Can you guess what it is?
I’m also experimenting with headstands/handstands today during a workshop at my yoga studio. I have a general fear of going upside down but it’s time to get over that fear! The workshop was AMAZING and I learned ways I can work on building up strength to get my handstands on. Dorm jams are going to be my best friends!
Believing…that raising rock stars is HARD! Thanks to From Cradle to Stage by Dave Grohl’s mom, Virginia Hanlon Grohl, I’m hooked on this book for May. Virginia met with and interviewed mom’s of artists like Miranda Lambert and Dr. Dre. It’s a really good read so far and I cannot wait to review it at the end of May.
Refreshing…my mindset. One of my biggest struggles is patience. It’s something that I am really working on. During today’s handstand workshop I felt myself get frustrated when I couldn’t get into headstand. My body was tired, arms shaky and I was loosing patience. I sat on my mat and took a deep breath. Clarity comes quickly when you breathe!
