It’s a Friday night. You’ve already eaten dinner and you are craving dessert. Where do you go? Most people would vie for ice cream. That was Plan A last week when we went out for dessert. But Myrtle Beach gets crazy during the summer months.
In order to avoid the crowds we headed to an area called Market Common. It’s just south of the Myrtle Beach International Airport and fairly close to the beach. I love going here because it’s a beautiful outdoor shopping and dinning area. It’s also secluded from the tourist attractions! (Double win!) I drive by the same adorable cafe each time I go to yoga and I suggested it for our Friday night dessert.
Crepe Creations Cafe is locally owned by Larry Cauble. After spending 9 years in Europe, he decided to bring his knowledge of crepe-making to America. With his wife Emma, a nutritionist, guiding his healthy menu choices they opened Crepe Creations Cafe with their customers in mind.
We walked into the cafe to a Jazz bassist playing. The lighting sets the mood perfect for a date night. We nabbed a table in the corner of the restaurant…perfect for a visit from Larry himself. We chatted a bit and learned that he picks up his fruits fresh every single day. The care and dedication he takes towards the product definitely shows. Now on to the crepes!
Judd ordered the Chocolate Dream Crepe. Yes, this entire burrito-sized treat IS a crepe! It’s filled with homemade chocolate mousse, strawberries, whipped cream and powered sugar. The Crepe wasn’t too sweet. It was fluffy and light despite its grand size!
I went for the Almond Joy Crepe. It tastes exactly like an Almond Joy! Filled to the brim with Nutella, coconut shreds, almonds and powered sugar. I was quite surprised at how big this Crepe was. Judd stole a few bites but I still ended up taking half of it home with me!
Crepe Creation Cafe also offers breakfast crepes, savory crepes and even cheese plates. The next time we go we are going to have savory crepes! If you find yourself here in Myrtle Beach check out Crepe Creation Cafe. You can find their menu here.
