Today is the 10th day of our yoga challenge. Warrior 1 or Virabhadrasana I is a part of the Warrior series. I love this sequence but find this particular Warrior pose a challenge. Begin your sequence either in mountain or standing forward fold. Step one foot back at a 45 degree angle and bend your front leg keeping your knee over your ankle. Square off your hips then lift your arms above your head keeping your shoulders down.
I struggle with this posture as my hips always want to turn to the side. When I first began my at-home practice I tried to avoid this pose. Practice does eventually make close to perfect so I try to incorporate it into my daily routine.
