It’s day 11 of my yoga challenge and also one of my favorite yoga postures! Warrior II or Virabhadrasana II is my all time favorite posture. This pose makes me feel strong and confident. When executed properly this posture has great benefits. Start in Warrior I then gently turn your back foot out to line up with the edge of your mat. Lift your arms out to the sides but keep your torso straight up and down. Look out over your front hand and keep your legs engaged. Make sure that your bent knee stays directly over your ankle. If you push it over you could risk injury.
From Warrior II I like to move through a Revolved Warrior(stretch back and lift front arm up and out of your hip) and into Humble Warrior(clasp hands together, breath in, open your chest up and on the exhale stretch forward letting your arms go above your head.)
