It’s day 19 of my yoga challenge which brings me to my favorite balancing posture, Tree Pose or Vriksasana. My love for this pose comes from all the years standing around like this for fun. This is a great posture to find a little balance in your life. Start standing with your feet together. Ground down through one foot and gently lift the opposite foot either to your ankle, calf or thigh. Place your hands at heart center and when you feel steady feel free to raise them above your head. “Grow your branches.”
This posture is hard some days when my balance isn’t quite right. Not every day will be the same especially for your body. Some days the balances come easy, other’s it doesn’t. Work through your flow and don’t beat yourself if you’re having an “off” day. We all have them!
