Today marks the 22nd day of my yoga challenge and it brings me to Inclined Plank Pose or Purvottanasana. Planks used to be a in my eyes “evil” postures. I felt the same way about planks that I did about push ups. *eh* Until yoga taught me how to plank properly and I discovered a love of them! Begin in Staff Pose with your legs out in front of you. Place your hands behind your hips with your fingers facing forwards. Take a deep breath, squeeze your butt and lift yourself off the mat. Hold for a few breaths.
Planks though evil in thought are so good for your arms, legs and core. This pose is a serious workout! If you don’t feel good with your legs out in front of you, bend your knees and keep your feet planted on your mat.
Let’s see your Inclined Plank Pose!
