Happy Tuesday! Today is the 23rd day of my yoga challenge and I am sharing my Lotus Pose or Padmasana. This is a great pose to get into if you want to meditate or begin your practice with. Lotus comes fairly easy to me as my hips are still pretty flexible from dancing days. Start in a comfortable seated position. Place your feet on top of the opposite thigh and vice versa.
Lotus Pose is a more advanced yoga posture. You can work your way up to this posture with the following prep poses: Bound Angle, Hero Pose and Fish Pose. Always remember that yoga is progress not perfection! Take your time with posture. If you nail Lotus on first try, great! If you don’t feel comfortable in it that’s great too! With practice these postures become easier!
