Today is the 27th day of my yoga challenge and I am doing Shoulder Stand or Sarvangasana. Funny story about this posture…it was something I used to do as a kid while watching tv. It usually always resulted in a sore neck then but now I know how to properly do this! Start off by laying on your back. Gently lift your legs in the air and hips which will be propped up on your hands. Keep your neck flat against the mat and keep your gaze to your belly button.
When coming out of this pose, use your core to gently lower your body down. This pose is a great workout but can be difficult for me some days. If you want to get the sensation down without fully expressing this posture, lay on your back and simply lift your legs up in the air.
Let’s see your shoulder stands!
